Life Builders Hospital & Alakuko Clinic

We praise God for being our shepherd for Life Builders Hospitals. The Igbusi campus hospital continues to save lives both in surgical services as well as trauma healing through our medical staff. Last week we had a successful hernia surgery for a patient who was rushed to the hospital the previous day. The construction work at the Alakuko hospital site is completed and we are now in the process of furnishing. We hope to open the place for services by next weekend with free medical check ups for the people in the community. The official commissioning ceremonies will be delayed for about a month in order to get an approved date from the Lagos State Government Officials. Praise God for being our provider. We thank all of our friends and partners who have generously helped us during the construction stage.
Two weeks ago, the entire staff of Life Builders (orphans support, the hospitals and the academy) received a week long training on Trauma Care and Healing, courtesy of the Bible Society of Nigeria. This program was fully founded by our partner church in the USA (Christ Church Oakbrook) and was designed to train Christian workers how to deal with trauma both in our personal lives and in the lives of others. This training has brought transformation to the lives of all of our staff who participated along with changed perspectives of ministry. According to the testimony of one of the participants, “This is the best thing that has ever happened to me; I am healed from the pains of my past and now I can help others too.”
Sponsored Orphan Success Story

Peter Akomolafe hails from Ekiti State, Nigeria. His father passed away in 2010 and him and his family struggled to survive. He was unable to attend school and his extended family deserted him. In 2011, Life Builders Ministries International took Peter under their care and has been supporting him and his family ever since. He was able to attend school and purchase the necessary equipment and books and Life Builders made sure he never missed another meal and his generous sponsor supported him through trade school. Peter graduated from his music apprenticeship last month as an instrumentalist.
“I want to thank God for those that God used for me and my prayer is that they will not lose their Heavenly rewards; I'm so grateful and happy,” Peter said. “People thought nothing can come out of my life, but they came and saw what God did in my life.” |
Life Builders Academy
We praise God for the successful completion of the second term and the Easter break that ended last week. Both students and staff are now back to working hard for the last quarter/term of the academic year. Our students continue to make us proud with their excellent academic performances as well as spiritual growth. We thank God for the generous support from sponsors toward providing meals for the students at the boarding facility. Prices of food items have gone up by 300% in the last one year.
A Letter From Pastor Emmanuel
David calls the Lord his shepherd. What does this mean? We know the work of a shepherd—tending the sheep and protecting them. For those of us living in areas where animal husbandry is done, we are familiar with the roles of shepherds and how important they are to the sheep. The sheep must follow the shepherd to where the grass is greener and where there is safety.
In the same way, Jesus is our shepherd as believers. We depend daily on his provision and protection. We praise God for His provision and protection over the ministry of Life Builders since the beginning of this year. God has sent people from different places and locations to meet our needs in all areas. We can say boldly like David, “The Lord is our Shepherd, and we shall not want!” (Psalm 23:1).
