Upcoming Visit From The Founders

Founders Pastor Emmanuel and Blessing Oluwayemi will be visiting the United States in mid-October to reignite partnerships with local churches in the Chicaco-land area. To invite them to speak at your local church, please reach out to Tony Losinger, Chairman of the Board at tony_losinger@yahoo.com. Details on their visit agenda will be provided in the October Newsletter.
Emmanuel completed his PhD at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois in 2008. Dr. Oluwayemi (formerly Ogunyemi) spent twenty years on the faculty of the West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS) in Lagos, the region's largest non denominational seminary, serving as a Professor, Academic Dean and Vice President for Academic Affairs. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the same seminary in addition to serving as Chair of the Board of two other seminaries in Nigeria. He also serves as the Deputy General Overseer of The Gospel Faith Mission International, an indigenous evangelical church with over four thousand branches spread across five continents of the world. Blessing, a full time minister of over thirty years, currently serves as the International Women Director of the same denomination. Blessing is currently completing her M.A in Christian Leadership in WATS. Through over three decades of ministry, Emmanuel and Blessing have built a network of Nigerian church leaders who now form the core of Life Builders' leadership team. Emmanuel holds a PhD degree in Educational Leadership from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. He is a member of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria; a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultancy of Nigeria; and a Fellow of the Centre For Public Service and Productivity of Nigeria.
Life Builders Academy
We thank God for completing another academic year and the extended break. The time is being used by our staff and students for introspection and rest. A special education teacher provided training to the teachers last week. All of our teachers had a wonderful time and learned new things about how to approach different learning needs. We trust that our teachers are now better suited to help kids who struggle with learning. During this extended break, some students are enrolling in holiday classes. This month will end with the start of the new academic year and semester.
Life Builders Hospital & Alakuko Clinic
Both the Igbusi and Alakuko clinics recorded great progress this past month. With the expertise of the new medical Director, we perform procedures in both centers. We just hired an additional registered nurse at the Alakuko Clinic as well. Please pray for these two facilities as God utilizes our employees to satisfy the health needs of the less fortunate residents of Lagos and the surrounding areas.
Construction on the medical laboratory is complete and has officially opened its doors this week. We are excited to welcome Mr. Lawanson, a master's-educated medical laboratory scientist and a fellow of the institute, to our team. In accordance with the demands of the regulatory agency in Nigeria, we will appoint two more employees for the laboratory. The laboratory scientist currently works part-time but could transition to full-time employment when finances improve. Please also pray for him. |
Sponsored Orphan Success Story

We are proud to share the story of recent Life Builders Sponsored Orphan Program graduate Afolabi Moyosore Deborah. After her father’s death when she was just three years old, Afolabi and her two brothers were cared for by Life Builders. Life was extremely hard for her mother and providing meals was a daily struggle, but Life Builders allowed the children to stay at the school hostel to help them focus on their studies. Afolabi stayed in the hostel for the duration of her studies through high school and recently finished. She looks forward to continuing her education and enrolling in a university to continue her dreams. Afolabi is extremely thankful for Life Builders and all of the opportunities they have provided her.
