The Season of Giving is Upon Us

What will you be remembered for in Life? There are many women in the Bible who are remembered for their good deeds including Rizpah who is remembered for her care for the dead, Zarephath’s widow who gave bread to the hungry, Anna the prophetess who fasted and prayed day and night, Martha for her gracious hospitality, Mary for her box of fragrant ointment, and Mary Magdalene for her home for wayward and lost women. However Dorcas stands out. Tabitha, known as Dorcas in Greek, was described as a disciple of Jesus and a woman that many people remembered for her good deeds. Acts 9:36-43 is one of the scriptures that inspired the spirit of Life Builders Ministries. Dorcas’ good deeds were the source and inspiration of societies all over the world today! We must not live only for ourselves but to also impact others positively. So what will you be remembered for? Join us in building lives for the glory of God!

Project Updates

The Alakuko Hospital Building: By the grace of God, 2022 will witness the official commissioning of this promising clinic building located in the densely populated city of Lagos where there is an acute shortage of quality health care, especially for the poor. We still need to raise funding for tiling, painting, landscaping and a large generator to provide power to the facility. Ignite-A-Smile 2021: Each year, Life Builders hosts a holiday celebration for the sponsored orphans and widows called Ignite-A-Smile. From December 19-21, vulnerable children and their families will receive gifts and meals from our ministry, and for the first time, the US Board of Directors will be attending! You can ignite a smile on the faces of our sponsored orphans by donating. Even $10 makes a huge difference in their lives and will provide clothing, food, and gifts for them. Life Builders Hospital: From delivering babies to treating Malaria, the Life Builders Hospital is equipped to save lives and has truly been a blessing for both our students and staff. From delivering babies to treating diseases, our hospital has been able to provide affordable services to the community and has changed many lives for the better. We thank God for our staff and the many lives they have saved, including one of our orphans, Precious Johnson, who went into a coma last month. After receiving treatment, she is now healthy and back to living a normal life. If it was not for Life Builders, she would not have made it to the next nearest hospital due to the poor road conditions of Nigeria. — **Life Builders Hospital:** From delivering babies to treating Malaria, the Life Builders Hospital is equipped to save lives and has truly been a blessing for both our students and staff. Life Builders Academy: Life Builders Academy is one of the few schools in Nigeria that does not allow cheating on the high school final examination called the West African Examination Council (WAEC). In the past, some parents have actually withdrawn their children from our school because of this, however, the last academic year resulted in 100% of credit passed on all key subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Science). Our performance is far better than the schools that allow their students to cheat. All of our students have met the required number and subject combinations needed for admission into any university across the country!
